History of the United States Print Portfolio

History of the United States Print Portfolio, Volume 1: 1174-1809

Organized by Brandon Gardner

Joyner Library 1st Floor (near Java City)

The History of the United States Portfolio has the potential to be one of the greatest print folios in history. The portfolio consists of seven installments (over seven years) to create a comprehensive collection of the history of the United States. Each installment will cover a 35-year span, thus each artist will be assigned one year within the installment period. And at the end of seven years, we will have an excellent museum show!

Each participant will make a print about a randomly selected, specific year. The image can be of a specific event or an overview of that entire year; it can be satirical, serious, humorous, etc. The specific year assigned, must be included within the print or in the title of the piece. The first installment “USA vol. 1” will include the years 1774-1809.
